This is man and that is god

Skull and spit, shadow of a god that listens.
This is a dead valley, echoes of fires, echoes of swords,
Echoes of time, laughter that turned into fear.
Voluminous dissertations on the invisibility of desire.
This we worship.
Inconclusible evidence of faith, roots and verbs,
As inconclusible as everything we touch,
Hand of man, hand of death, hand that moves
Without enlightenment.
This is man and that is god.
This is man and that is god.

Dark, yet so luminous.

Psalm 23:4 >>

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
