happiness is a green potato
waiting to be picked up
removing the dirt around it
as it slowly ripens
happiness is green
so green it can look like money
so green it can resemble hope
so green it can be mistaken for grass
happiness is slow-coming
but when it finally reaches you,
it is ready to be eaten
or about to get rotten.
